Abstract

The peculiarities of personnel management under martial law are due to problems related to both the enterprises' activities and socio-psychological working conditions, which can cause mental health problems that reduce the level of employee motivation and their efficiency. To solve existing problems in the modern business environment, new approaches to personnel management must be applied, particularly to implement socially responsible management provisions in the personnel management system of enterprises. This article aims to substantiate the feasibility theoretically and determine the features of socially responsible personnel management of enterprises under martial law. The features of human resource management in martial law were considered. The main problems the employers face in human resource management during the war are outlined. The main aspects of socially responsible personnel management have been identified. The main directions for developing a socially responsible personnel management system in martial law have been formed. Special attention is paid to such issues as improving employee motivation, creating safe conditions, implementing psychological support, and improving the working environment at enterprises under contemporary circumstances. Focusing on employee motivation in the context of socially responsible management makes it possible to resolve issues related to ensuring an optimal working environment using both monetary and nonmonetary incentives. The paper explores the experience of domestic enterprises that have achieved success in this direction. Based on the research findings, we proposed recommendations to improve the socially responsible personnel management system during martial law. Research results can be important for theory development and practical use. The recommendations formed should help domestic enterprises successfully implement certain aspects of socially responsible personnel management during martial law and in the post-war period.
