INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT: TRENDS, CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the role of information technologies in knowledge management and the analysis of their impact on the efficiency of business processes, scientific activities and the educational environment. The purpose of the article is to study the role of information technologies in knowledge management, analyze their impact on the efficiency of business processes, scientific activities and the educational environment, as well as determine the main benefits, challenges and prospects for their use by companies, scientific institutions and educational institutions. It is determined that the main ways of using information technologies in knowledge management are: knowledge management systems, platforms for collaboration, electronic libraries and archives, learning management systems, knowledge bases, project management tools, data processing and analysis tools, artificial intelligence and machine learning systems, social networks and communication platforms. The role of social networks and artificial intelligence in knowledge management processes is characterized and the main risks associated with their use are outlined. The social and economic benefits of companies from the use of information technologies in knowledge management are summarized. Thus, in our opinion, the economic benefits include: reducing costs for training and adapting personnel; increasing employee productivity, customer service quality and the competitiveness of the company as a whole; minimizing risks and errors. Among the social benefits, we distinguish: improving communication and cooperation between employees, flexibility in work and the possibility of remote learning, increasing the level of employee involvement, creating a favorable environment for training and staff development. It is substantiated that certain social and economic benefits from the use of information technologies in knowledge management will also be received by scientific and educational institutions, which will contribute to the effective exchange of information, improving access to scientific resources, and optimizing the educational process. The use of flexible online platforms and knowledge bases will provide the population with the opportunity to obtain knowledge and education remotely; the integration of artificial intelligence and big data will allow predicting trends in education and optimizing curricula in accordance with modern realities and current trends in the labor market; the introduction of digital systems will help reduce bureaucratic burdens, improve communications between teachers, students and researchers, which will certainly affect the establishment of international cooperation and exchange of experience. The originality of the research results lies in the fact that the justification of the role and importance of information technologies in knowledge management has been further developed, in particular, the benefits, risks and prospects for their application for companies, educational and scientific institutions have been identified. The practical value of the research results lies in the possibility of their use by company management in organizing the knowledge management process, as well as in conducting further scientific research in this direction.
